How to: Create MS Word Documents with OpenXML in C# or ASP.Net

You can work without any physical location for your files. It’s a life saver when you build web applications.

With OpenXML, you can create all the documents in memory. And you can let the end user to download it. So, you don’t have to use physical temporary locations as a storage.

 

Here is the application;

Click Open File, select your file. Right Click -> Reflect Code

Then you will see this window;

You can see the generated C# Codes of your document at the right side of the window.

When you examine this code, you will see some patterns which are creating the entire document row by row. (or paragraph by paragraph)

The last thing that you need is, analyse the code, and evolve it for your own purposes.
